Progress on Bulbophyllum Echinolabium Flower Spike

My Bulbophyllum Echinolabium, which I got for Christmas, had a small growth on it when it arrived. I assumed it was a new growth, but now it is clear that it is a flower spike. I am half excited about this; one half of me loves everything about the look of the flowers, the other half of me is already nervous to be one of the unlucky people to get a whiff at this orchid. Some Compare the smell of the flower to rotting mice, others to a horrible low-tide stench, and some say its not all that bad. All in all though, I am eager to see this orchid get to bloom.
